There was never any suggestion of the Greens or UKIP ever owning anything in this country.
What is ownership anyway?
It’s what you’ve managed to keep hold of with both hands - such as one’s arse: Some seem to have trouble finding their arse with both hands however, looking at previous election results from borough to borough…
I live a lifestyle that makes sure anyone trying to deprive me of anything loses a lot more of their own side into the bargain. That would make me such a liability for being financially victimised, that I get left alone instead. Dropping out of the tax club instead of running bent to maintain my earnings of upto 2 years ago is part of that strategy of course. Keep more of what you already have I say!
“A bird in the hand” is supposed to be worth TWO in the bush - not HALF in the bush!

The big question I have therefore, is who will own us in ten year’s time?
Chinese!
or Indians?
special fried rice?
or vindaloo?

The way in which we’re headed, probably the Muslim Brotherhood.
No way bruv, they can’t even own Egypt right now, despite being elected!
I do hope your right!

Obama and Cameron dumb and dumber.Or just doing what the Russians are telling them to do.Assuming that they probably can’t possibly be that stupid to believe that The Muslim Brotherhood is all about ‘freedom’ as we know it just leaves the latter
.

No surprise that there’s no calls from Obama or Cameron in support of the Israeli action against Russian weapons shipments to Lebanon in Syria.

Egypt is split right down the middle with the conservative Muslim Brotherhood wanting moves towards Sharia law, and the other half that want the life blood that is the tourist industry back up and running in the country again. A more liberal attitude to alcohol and sharing hotel rooms with people you’re not married to was going in the right direction until Mubarak fell over. I was in Luxor 2000 & 2001, and for 2000 you could only get a drink from a duty free shop, one visit per foreign passport per stay. Come 2001, you could order a drink in any hotel bar - a more liberal approach already noticeable in that short space of time. Also, the tourist police had been increased in the wake of the 1997 massacre, and they were there to protect tourists from hassling locals, rather than bust people for walking around with their arms uncovered, etc.
After the Hatshepsut Temple shooting in 1997, Tourists boycotted Egypt so much that the children in places like Luxor starved because the work dried up completely for the local tourism-serving population.
All the recent “arab spring” upheavals have got the same population quaking in their boots, that such a time for decimating their kids has come again.
You go to Luxor today, and you won’t find many young folk aged 16-20. The clock for liberalism in Egypt has been turning backwards since 9/11. I’d like to go back there again, but not until all this bullcrap sharia stuff has been removed from local politics as it must, if Egypt is to have a good future.
With a dearth of youth in the south, who’s going to be protesting on behalf of the liberalists? It seems they were not strong enough in numbers to prevent the Muslim Brotherhood pipping them at the post in the elections…
