I can see old CF winds you up a bit and grinds your gears.
I just take him as I find him, I have had a couple of disagreements with him in the past, but it is just water off a ducks back.
As said, he never resorts to bad mouthing or insults…he’s harmless,.and tbf ofyen makes some good relevant points.
Where as the type that brings out the absolute worst in me (and I know it shouldnt on a mere forum) are the condescending know all types.
…no names no packdrill (whatever tf ‘packdrill’ means.)
I do not mind debate and disagreement, but it’s the ‘keyboard streetfighters’ who give you no end of bravado bullcrap on here, insults and jibes big style, but if they met you face to face would crap their pants rather than say ‘boo’ to you.
My policy on here is to say nothing to other members what I would not have said to their faces…as you can probably guess, saying the kind of stuff I have said on here in the past to people in real life, has caused a bit of ag.
I do tend to speak my mind and to hell with the consequences, to the eternal disdain from my lovely wife whilst we are out.
Talking of d/heads: last night I was walking down the street and a car drove up fully on the pavement outside a take-away and slowly carried on towards me headlamps ablaze. As I squeezed by I shouted, ‘You’re on the pavement you silly old fool!’ Then he was off like a scalded rabbit.

Now that IS true. Back in t’good old days, when Rik and I ran this place out of two Scanias out tramping using dial-up mobile connections, and we had FAR fewer members than there are (or were, before the migration) now, I used to go and meet up with anyone really obnoxious. I’d wait until I had a night out somewhere convenient and buy them a pint.
Looking back, I shudder when I think about doing that as a kid in my 20s who though she was invincible, but fortunately each and every one of them turned out to be a complete pussycat in person!
Yeah I know what you mean Lucy.
You’ve more grace and patience than me though, I wouldnt be wanting to meet some arse who had insulted me…to buy them a pint.
Another type are the ones who give it the big ‘I am’ when performing for their mates stood around them, while maybe trying to keep the peace, then you catch them next week on their own, and they back right off and offer to buy YOU a pint…completely different person.
