which is exactly what I said earlier, rather than what you said i.e. no consultation only notification

My comments were in the context of the OP’s original query - which was about when meetings with new employer should be expected. My understanding is that unless there are redundancies in the pipeline, they are not actually required (instead they talk to the employee reps who are supposed to pass on the info).
