I dont mind the train. I go out midweek and come back Sunday morning, going, sometimes wait abit, coming backSunday never a problem unless you get stuck behind a Spanish lorry driven by two Romanians zig zagging onto the carriage 
That explains why i was put strait on to a frain this morning passing two lanes of flappy sides and car transporters.LOOKS LIKE THE TALIBAN SOAP DODGERS ARE STILL ON HOLIDAY only dutch french belgiums on it .

week before xmas was in calais queing on the moterway didnt move a trucks lenth in an hour so i called my boss who told me i was basicly takin the ■■■■ as he had just had an update email from eurotunnal telling him everything was running to normal with no ques etc evan thou the website was saying they were running two trains an hour i went mad at him and told him to ring his account manager and ask the question ten mins later get a text to use the ferry no appology no asking his account manager not to send misleading emails rant over
hopefully it will be ok on sunday as im hoping to be there at 5pm.

That’s the lovely thing about camera phones, “I’ve been told that there are no queue’s”, ‘click-send’. “Oh right, it seems there are queue’s then”!!

Sod the train. Armed with a timetable and planning it right you can hit Calais and be sat on a DFDS boat drinking coffee within the hour. We get a choice of ferry companies and my first choice now is DFDS.
why’s that? i’ve never used it.
always p&o, and the odd (dare i say) the happily defunct seafrance for me.
Hit the tunnel at 0825 this morning got off in France 09.30 uk time. If only it was always that way.

Out wed morning this week at about 9.30 , straight through ticket barrier, got my eurovignette, sat in line for five minutes then on, four lorries on front , five on back , back today, about seven total lorries on train no waiting . HTH.
14.00 crossing today,Monday.Folkestone/Calais. Busy but not overwhelmed. First time I’ve been xrayed and searched by French customs on English side of the Channel.
No free coffee offered though…

Simply because P&O is unpredictable, sometimes two hours waiting for a boat sometime straight on, whereas DFDS don’t have the volume yet to cause delays so you can roll up with 30/40 mins to spare and get straight on.

Ive just joined the back off the queue near enough at the autoroute. 
delays uk side now at 7.18 , I dont care all day to get to Holland via Adinkerke 
Sat on train now. 05.45 to 09.05 coquelles to Folkestone. And I’m not off yet.
The place is crumbling.
Tried that with DFDS at Dunkirk Monday,aimed for the 10am boat for breakfast(dont mind paying for it as the free Breakfast on the Calais boat is yuck in my opinion) and the sodding thing was cancelled!,no reason given,ending up sitting for nearly 3 hrs waiting for the 12 midday sailing.
Wished we had the free reign over who we cross with.
Is that right one of the new p&o ships has to go back to the builder due to engine vibrations?,rumour has it not enough mountings fitted.
