Same hill heading eastbound fl10 360 down to 15mph and temp guage about to hit the red…had to pull on to hard shoulder and let it cool down before i went the last few hundred yards…
Limped over there with alsorts of different motors, with the heater on full blast (to disperse a bit more heat) It’s surprising how fast they cool down once you start freewheeling down the other side
See quite a few trucks with brakes on fire on windy hill, especially foreigners - saw a polish driver on there a while back on the hard shoulder tipping water on his brakes

I’ve been driving for a firm that delivers to farms for the last few weeks, get some pretty steep hills and the exhaust brake doesn’t work but dropping a couple of gears and using the brakes as little as possible does - not rocket science is it
On the other hand, the turbo went bang (literally) going up the A623 a week or so ago (sorry if I held any of you up) They shew me it at the garage when I went to collect the truck - VERY broken

What speed rating do your tyres have?
Ive seen many a truck accident there (Windy Hill) I do let mine run on a little but 60 max, 75 fella your asking for trouble if you have to make sudden reactions for traffic braking steering etc. Oh and if the worst happpend and VOSATAPO checked you tacho speed trace your in deep do do!
Tyres should be ok I have done 90 many a time before speed limiters were fitted
