TruckFest South West 2011

i see mate thanks for reply.

Regarding the Topline tipper being impractical for tipper work, this bumper will get absolutley ■■■■■■ on its first tip…

This truck is a prime example of more money than sense in my opinion. It seems the owner has only bought it to show off, rather than work, which completely defeats the object of a truck. I shot that photo at Peterborough 2011.

That tipper is insane!!! As stated that rear bumper would get hammered first tip. And I would love to see him using it for planing on a small street with very low trees!!! Or see him move forward 6" to much and planner fire planings all up tail gate!!! Surely its a toy!!! Wouldn’t last 5mins. Have to say looks nice though.

Any photos of Danabb Transport’s XF105 :arrow_right: Y6 DAT?

i met the owner of them tippers at a recent show he told me it had never worked since it was new at peterboro he told me it was going to work it after shepton mallett mainly doing plainings and loading out of there yard,.good luck to the shovel driver who has to load that with out dropping stone on it

Who the hell can afford a wagon like that (+ all useless extras) and then afford it to stand for all that time while they show it off at truck shows?

rumour had it it cost mr Doyle 250 grand with every consumable extra available . think you find it stands over 14 ft tall no good for loading tarmac under the hoppers. what it is to have money !!!

i heard they had a 730 coming of a similar config??

In my opinion it’s a waste of a truck and a waste of money. I would love to see that truck working and the look on the owners face when it gets back to the yard

Like you say more money than sense :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

I know, from painful experience  , that there is very little money in the tipper game.

I think this has to be the biggest waste of money I have ever seen. Did it win anything at Truckfest? Maybe the ‘Willy-Waving Contest’?

Can someone alert muckaway to this thread for extra comedy value here please.

It looks like a greyhound with a bulldogs head  .

   I’d like to see that deliver to private houses;them fairylights wont last long under low branches  I bet that doesn’t carry more than 18tonnes. Did the interior options include scatter cushions and a feng sui course

I didn’t know Switchlogic had a tipper; I can get him a demolition job for it  Seriously, that lorry’s going to be fit for scrap/export before it’s paid for itself. White paint on a planing wagon? I’d like to see the driver’s face when the planer’s loading him with the wind behind

‘And you’re not allowed to use the shovel, you shovel ■■■■ by hand’ :grimacing: :unamused:

Some more pictures of the show. It was my first visit to a British truckshow and I really enjoyed it.

And the recovery vehicles of course paid my attention.

waldmann:

Did anyone else think of sausages when they saw that ?

waldmann:

did you get one of the rha/lantern daf?

As well as the Actros of McAllisters.
