If you’re going M74/M8 then Cairn Lodge and Hamilton (M74) are good, not been into Hartside (M8) recently.Good as in what?
Only ‘good’ thing about Harthill is that it is free (afaik)
Follow the legendary god Robroy advice for Red Moss to see Eddie. When you come off for Cairn Lodge follow the A70 Ayr road and look for the truckstop signs.

if you ask them.
Or there is a park on the quayside at Berwick, handy for.the boozer , and a good chippy…keep away from those ■■■■ lay bys
