Truck Preferences

I must be in a minority here, cos I didn’t give a bugger what I drove as long as it was roadworthy. Never have I worried about about what make of lorry a firm runs. If it’s unreliable it’s down to them to fix it. Never worried about doing repairs to keep me going in the old days when I carried tools with me. I had a breakdown in north London one day. I checked and it was the injector pump. Phoned in and they sent a bloody AA man out, who told me he didn’t know much about diesels. Ended up going on the bar from Mill Hill to Willesden where they replaced the injector pump. I could have done that by the side of the bloody road.

Anyway, I digress ever so slightly, so back on track. Gimme anything with wheels.

Renault Magnum, glasshouse on wheels and if you had a few beers and forgot where the step is and fall out the door!

I’ve spent the last eleven or 12 years driving Daf CF’s mostly, I don’t mind them at all -had my last one six years and it was a nice comfy motor with a manual box.
I got a brand new Scania 8 wheeler about two months ago and it’s superb.i
It was a toss up between a Scania or a new Volvo fmx-im glad I ended up with the Scania.

Is it a design fault with the Daf cf has every driver is the size of Ronnie Corbett or is a dwarf as they are sat so low in the seat?
