Wipe your lights when you do your walk round… its surprising how much crap accumilates on them this time of year, road salt is the worst of the offenders. Apart from that I dont find them that bad.

As a little test…next time people drive at night, people should roughly count on how many trucks they see with blown headlight bulbs…bet you the vast majority are DAF’s and Scanias with their crap halogen bulbs
had to replace one of mine… O/S as per normal… and its a pain on the Pre FaceLift 
I find my daf has fantastic lights. Could happily drive without fullbeam all night. I wish I could put them on my car.

I happen to think the same thing with the volvos I drive…I don’t use fullbeams unless I’m flashing someone…but for others it seems Volvo’s lights aren’t good enough.

i had to think about that one for a while 
It may be worth your while to make sure the lamps you have are correctly aimed before adding any more,
