Right at that moment he’d have given up all the wonga he’d pocketed up till then for a quick " Beam me up Scotty!" :grimacing:

I did wonder if it might be an ideal vacancy for Dozy, then I realised he probably wouldn’t get home on Friday night, and get his delicious steak.

Captain Caveman 76:
I’m guessing it’s a contract for the US government, how would being a UK citizen affect your chances?

Given that the job description suggests that harm by way of friendly fire is a possibility, working with the US military must be part of the gig.

Friendly fire and American in the same sentence, doesn’t bode well.

Anyone been through the Khyber Pass aka Carlisle Road?

Hi Guys, i need a little help. I have applied for a job as a truck driver in Iraq, i have been told that the Night heater doesnt work, and the front o/s headlamp is cracked, do you think i would be within my rights to refuse to take this truck out of the compound, and would i still get paid if the truck has to go in the workshop ? The trailer however has around 12 bullit holes along the n/s, and i assume these will be filled with polyfilla.

WOW! Thanks for posting it up. Wonder what Neil is doing now. As some posters at the time said, adrenaline is addictive so I can’t see him being happy sat for 8 hours on a Next bay with a box [emoji23]

That job doesn’t seem to be listed anymore.

Latest seems to be Afghanistan. Probably back home sitting on a pretty penny. Mortgage paid off & that. Probably worth the risk at the end of the day.

That job ad in Kabul needs “secret clearance” and USA citizenship. Is the job title “Chiller” some sort of umm…?

lots of driving jobs posted by KBR and PAE for work in Iraq and other similar *****holes ,did notice some ask for US citizens but most .just able to speak English …were a couple asking for spanish speakers in peru and Columbia.

Do they have vosa out there
