To get the LGV licence in Poland costs much more than the UK - it is either 180 or 280 hours to get it and very very expensive - the old myths are now dead
im just going on what he said, hes pretty clued up
Seems like he is a little behind the times - my info is from 2 young guys from Poland who I met at DATA ACADEMYs’ open day and they were over here to get the LGV because of the extreme expense in Poland.
The course is not just about getting the licence but has much compulsory post test stuff.
I’m quite sure that orys has more info on this and the way it is now structured in Poland
Oh, nearly forgot - same info from my neighbours who are from Poland - one relation of theirs is looking into doing it

im just passing on what i heard, i dont care wether its true, why do people have to be so argumentative

I don’t think it’s a csae of being argumentative - just sorting fact from fiction/myth
If I came on here and said that an instructor I know said that all DSA examiners now want pull/push steering done at all times on a DSA LGV test including the reverse then that would be hearsay and not actual fact which could lead to the wrong info and/or impression being given to others

ok, so its a myth, the fact that its untrue is a myth too
For £250ish it will the crayon version, I paid £400 for mine and got it in watercolors.
You would need to show residency in PL for 185 days, but its a nice place to stay while you do that. Curiosity made me have a look at the standard test here, its more expensive and not an easy test. The theory test in Polish might be a problem, but I couldn’t recommend this as a place to try a cheap or easy route to job poverty.
It is possible to buy such an item… I have researched out of curiosity, but first Polish check point and thats the end of that, wether anyone does this and goes straight to the UK and confuses the British with a fake, no idea, maybe our Polish friend has an opinion, I hear a chap from Poland called Prawo Jazdy is popular in the UK
IRISH police have solved the mystery of a Polish driver who clocked up 50 traffic offences but gave different addresses and who was never caught.
An officer noticed that the name “Prawo Jazdy” they were taking down from the driver’s papers actually means driving licence in Polish.
I don’t buy the fact, (forgive pun) that you can just buy an acceptable forgery from Biedronka, or that you can exchange a few zloty in a cabbageburger van for a forged document. Apart from this forgery having to pass muster at an interview. I don’t accept that a transport company owner is going to give a stranger with no English the keys to a new truck and trailer loaded with goods, if they do, more fool them.
So even if Paddy Betz does give a Pole a new 105XF, at the first control this licence also has to pass an inspection, this in addition to the fact that digital tachographs have been around since Jan 2006, where does the digital card come from? or is that a forgery too?
As MaggieT seems to think this post was to cause an argument with her, it wasn’t intended that way, it is on a forum, a discussion forum where people have an alternative opinion.

Wheel Nut is right I would think, I jokingly asked if it was possible, the answer was yes, no idea really, never seen a fake, perhaps the yes person had heard from someone else and that was a paper one anyhow, I would not try to bribe a Police officer, but in days gone by it was possible. I do know the first check point and you would be rumbled with a fake.

i only realised last month that you now need a ticket to operate a tail-lift, i mentioned this to someone in a certain workplace training company who says there is new law that says for a workman to use a screwdriver at work he needs to be trained
Puwer ( Provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998 )
