I didn’t see many lorries today; I was out the back feeding the conveyor with ballast and crushed shingle. I did load one lorry, no weigher on the shovel I had so 2 and a half buckets of shingle on a 6w, I had about a barrowfull left in there where driver blew his horn.
I’m driving this hired in Cat 966H at the moment. No weigher which means working out the back, by the lake in the sunshine. In an airconditioned cab for once.
It’s all but a new machine with only 2500 hours on the clock, and drives beautifully.

I realise that the paper you’ll be reading when your sat in that “air conditioned” Shovel,with your feet on the dash,drinking coffee,will be The Sun or The Daily Star !!! Seen at Truckfest yesterday, taken from Foden thread on Photo Forum. Paul must’ve found the cleanest part of the site…Thats a lot tidier motor than “mucksters” but then it probably doesen’t do as much work as “mucksters” does.Cheers Dennis.
