try sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/sdfv2000.exe
set the Options to FORMAT TYPE: FULL (Erase ON)
can you put the card in something else other that your tomtom and copy the files to it?
Not really sure why it is doing that

The memory card is in a reader as it transfers quicker that way. Only put it in the tomtom once everything is copied.

That would give me a blank card? Shall I try copying the files from scratch again?

yes, if that fails put the card back in your tomtom and try again
finally got the navcore and map files onto the tomtom card.
Only problem I have now is when I turn it on it says there are no maps installed.
Is there a step missing from the instructions or has something gone wrong?
step missing hang on
download this file rapidshare.com/files/176408002/S … 0.9589.rar and extract to tomtom, replace any files if it asks.
Have done that step and it runs through all the vehicle settings and then says no maps found still. Have I not copied a file into the right place?

Have you got all the map files in a folder called
Western_and_Central_Europe_TRUCK_815_2112
Sure have.

Have you patched the map correctly with the correct device id?

I assume I have. Followed the instructions in your guide. Shall I try patching it again? maybe I copied the files into the wrong place…I put them in the root of the tomtom memory card?

No, the 3 files from the “insert meta from map here” folder should be pasted into the Western_and_Central_Europe_TRUCK_815_2112 folder, replace any files if asked
