TIR plates

GS OVERLAND:
We still need a TIR Carnet to transit Turkey.

Hey GS, That’s possible because of transit goods, that’ not import or export. As some suggest the China will become part of
the TIR convention, than think we have to put it in TIR from let’s say Belgium loading point to destination delivery point China.

Eric,

If you are transiting Turkey ; to Ian&Iraq&Saudi&Kuwait&Pakistan&Afghanistan ; due to all these countries not hv signed t form system agreement, yes…but ıf you are only delivering in Turkey you do not need a carnet TIR,can deliver with only to forms…

On Lincolnshire lorries it meant “Tates in Rear”

We used to have them years ago and I always thought it meant " Till I Return " which you never knew if you were on a book tramping Europe, Buzzer.

The bucket was there for many reason and each to their own, fetching water, washing, getting caught short, the reason mine hung on the bumper was because there was little room in a Big J to put it, my Daf 2800 always had the bowl up in the roof hatch, with a bungee on it.

I didn’t ever have a bucket, but I did buy one of the canvas bags. It seemed logical, slightly porous, water evaporates from the outside, water stays cool. Ideal in a cab with no A/C.

I found that on the TAPline, it was so hot that by the time you next stopped, most of that expensive water had evaporated, and you only got a couple of glugs of cool water. Consign that idea to the bin. Visit the Kaki Kola factory in Dammam and fill your cool box with ice. Embed the expensive bottled water. Even when all the ice had melted on your round trip to Riyadh, the bottled water was still reasonably cool. In Summer you drank continuously. Watching the road through slanted eyes while you upended the bottle.

Eric Collins said ‘it hurts when I pee!’ I replied, ‘you’re not drinking enough Eric.’ He protested ‘I seem to be drinking loads.’

A couple of days later he agreed that drinking more had solved the problem. It was so hot that if you didn’t drink enough, your pee turned crystalline and it was agony.
