The thing I hate about Scanias is that the first time I drove one, I didn’t think it lived up to all the hype that surrounded the brand. Not saying it was a bad truck, just left me a tad disappointed.
The only Scania I’ve ever driven was a work weary P cab 420 8wheeler on an 06 reg. The most frustrating thing I found was the fuel cap as the OP said. It really didn’t feel like a lorry of it’s age. It was quiet, good on fuel, bloody quick, low tare weight and comfortable.
For someone who doesn’t like polishing, I could get a good finish by wiping a rag over the dash, and the interior never rattled.
The best thing about this post is every singel ■■■■■■■ complaint can be blamed on the boss ordering the truck. You can get single tank. 1000l being the biggest. Reading lights. Alot if hey just would cruxed the box. Fifth wheel height I shouldn’t have to mention. Bed. Order the wide bed then. Lights. Order xenon then.
Order the 2 pedal box then. The latest version is up there with ishift and mb.
The list can go on and on…
And it’s usually the extra equipment you can deal with on the prize…
Same with the fuelcap. Think there is 4 different models. …

well i like em i drive a daf xf at the mo and that is mint to tramp in but id move back into scanny any day if needed tbh i quite miss driving one
