The showers in burton in Kendal just above truck haven on the M6 are the best ones Iâve used in the servs in the uk.
Moto are not interested in truck drivers, made a complaint by e-mail to them last year about Forton Services basic response was if you donât like it then go elsewhere, now if I was a coffin dodger on a coach trip I am sure the response would have been very different
Despite what some of you think about Beaconsfield, I stopped there last Friday night, thanks to the worlds largest car park being â â â â â â again, and went into Wetherspoons and purchased a rump steak. It came so well done I thought it had been cremated, 1 burnt tomato, 1 awful mushroom, overcooked peas, and frozen chips, and they even forgot my free drink.
Then I decided to have a shower on Saturday morning, in the broom cupboard of a shower room so small, I was banging my elbows against the wall. These must have been the showers that the designer forgot about, and they found a spare room they could divide up.
All in all, a very disappointing experience.

I nearly took the top of my finger off in Beaconsfield showers. The aluminium door stuck in the frame at the top. I went to free it and caught my fingerâŚSharp as â â â â !

The newer EXTRA services are actually quite good. I was at the one on the west of the M25, like a shopping mall. Usual collection of EU Drivers parking under the motorway, get in to the truck park, all tarmac, nice easy large bays to get into.Couldnât fault the parking, food choice and quality or the cleanliness. Some MSAâs have money spent on them - some donât. MOTO seem to be one of the worst.
If I had a choice out of South Mimms or Thurrock, South Mimms wins hands down.
Then again, my opinion is that of a 45 minute breaker - not a 9/11/24/45 hours. Obviously the âNight Outersâ will not be happy with paying EXTRA 20 quid and not getting a meal voucher, which is very understandable.
