Try not to cry Dan

anorak:
Here’s another one, this time from Norway:
youtube.com/watch?v=vakAvcLOCPcThere’s a couple of 89s, a Snabbe/Trygge, a Globetrotter and what looks like a working FH12 Mk1. One of the 89s is a day cab, the other is a G with an F cab (!).
Norway must be wealthy enough not to bother gathering the stuff up for the scrap man.
Well thanks for that anorak, just brought tears to my eyes to see that S ride 16 in such a state, beyond help I should think.

It doesn’t look too bad. The interior almost looks as if it is still in use. Nip up to Norway; see if he’ll sell it!

I didn’t think people still cannibalised trucks anymore
JRT had some of those Dafs based at their Cannock depot, the one I drove for a couple of shifts was a well worn example back in 2011

What I’ve seen of their equipment it’s all fit for the scrap heap

Those three look really smart, especially considering their age. Is it a case of beauty being skin deep?

A feast of resurrecting scrappers in this video. The proprietor seems to be planning a sort of museum. Good luck to him.
Incredible! In France, the administration would have ordered the owner to scrap everything on that land! Only German trucks there, but some date back to the 1950s, like Krupp Mustangs (2-stroke engine) or square-bonneted MANs.

Can’t seem to put the shot of a very sad looking Bewick Atky ONL 482M on the screen so it must be a different format or summat !
Shot of three retired units awaiting their fate down in the BTS Graveyard 78/79.

We were just discussing in a meeting this week, about all the value we’ve had from stripping a 62-plate DF XF Super Space, compared with the resale for a Euro 5 tractor. The mortal remains were being sliced up and put in a skip yesterday.
