The Eddie Stobart Spotters Thread

jonnytruckfest:
I took a walk along the canal in Knottingley mate, I got as far as what seems to be a scrap yard where I was met with a couple people who didn’t like me being there :unamused: Put my mood a little bit down so I ended up going back to my usual spot! Have a few more stobart shots for you, just waiting for them to upload

Cheers

Jonny :sunglasses:

Sounds like a nice walk Jonny.
Have to try and get myself down your way.

Hey gill just a quick question, what has stobarts done with the irlam/connor contracts cause you don’t see any of the stobart liveried wagons with irlam or Connor on the side of the cab anymore?

Hello shell chemFL10,
Stobarts actually only ran those wagons in the Irlam & O Conner liveries for 6 months, and they then decided to change the name on the top plus sides to Stobart again.
The trucks then went on to do 3 years services at former Irlam & O Conner depots.

At the time, I remember Stobarts saying they wanted a “one brand” image of the company, rather than three serperate liveries.
There was 20 Irlam Scania R’s and around 25 O Conner Scania R’s, with the O Conner’s based at Widnes and the Irlams based at Crick and another depot whos names escapes me.

Hope this helps marra

Yeah thanks gill that was a great help mate, I’d hazard a guess that the o’connor/irlam wagons have all gone now :frowning:

The top 2 photos were taken outside Deli Co, Anderson Gate, Milton Keynes. Its a road i sometimes stop for a break on as its quite quiet (i dont go into Deli Co), but lorries only go in one at a time to tip/load, so sometimes i wake up to the back of an ES trailer (if you google earth streetview Anderson Gate Milton Keynes there actually is an ES motor on the bay!
The bottom photo was taken at my yard DHL Stanton Suffolk.
