The Eddie Stobart Spotters Thread

It’s called optimus prime

You got valentino rossi one?

I suppose that if people pay their money and join a queue to give a truck a name, it can be anything they like (within reason)

Was it not to do with some anniversary of transformers

Hello Legend Scania
Optimus Prime was a MAN TGA based at Carlisle. The name story was to do with as Joycey says, was the anniversary of Transformers.
I think Nevile drove it at one point before he got his own lorry (PX08 NEV & PX11 NEV)

As for the Valentino Rossi one, not I’ve never spotted that but one of my spotting marras has given me this photo (sorry its a bit poor)

Hello kevchalluk
You don’t pay to have your name on a truck. You just have to join the 3 year waiting list, and if Stobarts like it, they will name the truck fter bthe name of your choice.
The only to have a payed for name on was Debby (Volvo FH16), and that was for Charity.

Has Neville Jackson got his own trucks now ■■

I haven’t seen him since I moved back over here…

I thought that only club members could join the waiting list? You have to pay for membership, which means you are kind of paying to join the list too…

Hello Geoffo
Sorry, I haven’t made that clear Geoffo marra.
Yes, Nevile got his own lorry now but in the Stobart fleet (he’s still working for Stobarts but its been personalised with the reg and M Sport/Stobart livery).
The first one was PX08 NEV (Scania R Topline) hes latest one is PX11 NEV (Scania R500 Topline)
He works on the M-Sport side of the business as is still based at Carlisle

Sorry about that

Hello kevchalluk
No, non fan club members can get to name a truck by sending a letter or email to Eddie Stobart Promotions with there name in the letter.
They will put your name on the waiting list and eventually it will get picked and a truck will get named.
But, fan club members tend to get there names to the top of the list quicker.

Hello revman
Thats an excelent spot on the move marra. I can’t make out the fleet number but looking at the location (M6 near Penrith?) it could be one of the Penrith, Carlisle or Carnforth Volvo FH13’s. Unless it was from another depot

Hello Joycey
That is a excelent spot marra. No bother
The Silver Mercedes Actros tractor units are used on the F1 contract they have with Mclarren.
There are around 10 silver (6 x 2 & 4 x 2) Mercedes Benz Actros’s in the fleet and they are based at Hawley’s Lane, Warrington & Crick.
They useally pull silver F1 trailers, but they also use International Trailers on the contact too.

Also, just like the Stobart M-Sport lorry’s, they are used on general haulage/international work when F1 work is quite.

H3301 (GK12 TZY) is a 4 x 2 Mercedes Actros, based at Warrington

Hope this helps marra
Kindest regards
