All i can say on this issue. Our industry will be fu**ed. This is not like general haulage, you need a certain calibre of driver to do car transporters. Five nights out in a basic cab with the roof trimmed to accommodate the car on the peak. Low trees, low bridges, ■■■■■■■■ car salesmen in pointy shoes, who are the most dishonest people on the planet and will bill your firm £300 to rectify a £35 scratch. Welcome Stobart Group to the unknown. Oh and remember. Pay peanuts in this industry you will without a doubt attract the monkeys.

These (for me personally) would be great to spot as I must confesss, I do have a soft spot for car transporters and I think they are excelent might movers (my soft spot is because ECM are based at Carlisle).

your just a spotter though, you wouldnt understand why thats bad. it does take a certain type of driver to do the cars, you cant just put any old tom ■■■■ or harry on the job (other names are available)

Slag Eddie Stobart off all you like, local company, decent motors and If I pass my class 1 tomorrow I’ve got a job lined up there. Not a massive fan or anything just its local, its a job and it pays. Plus I like having a clean motor.

Stobart wont run these vehicles in stobart colours as the name autologic is a recognised name is this industry so they will go with a little symbol on the door saying “part of the stobart group” or something along those lines.

Maybe to begin with, I reckon they’d do the same as they did with Irlam’s and O’conners, and phase the name out after adding it to the Stobart wrap
