CG I took that photo at Farthing Corner Services on the M2. I used to see it coming out of Knauf near Sittingbourne and in London quite often.

Any ideas how many trucks are in the Stobart Rail fleet. Saw what looked like either a 6x2 or 8x2 rear lift Scania fueling at URG this morning. Couldn’t get a pic as it was still dark and i only had my phone.

Hello dew
I think there is 5 Stobart Rail lorries: 2 x 2002 Scania 4 & 3 2008 Scania R’s. I’m sure they had a Tipper too at one point?
If anyone can correct me, please do.
Kindest Regards

Defo Rugby truckstop & I t was the Britvic contract that they had at that time (Britvic bottling was In Rugby & distribution centre was In Lutterworth).
I was based at Fradley before being transfered to the Rugby Truckstop. They later transfered the trucks based there up to I.B.D. In Lutterworth & then eventually to Crick.
As I’ve mentioned to C.Gill, my last truck was a Daf drag (M638 TAO), but my last-but-one was an FL10 (L497 MHH Tessa). As I can’t read the Reg.plates In the picture,I’d be interested If she’s amongst them…

Hello Geoffo
I found a photo of your old drawbar (M638 TA0). It’s the third DAF from the right (it’s in between M641 TA0 & the Volvo FH12)
Hope you like it & I’m sorry it’s a bit small.
Kindest Regards

Thank’s C.Gill. You have posted this picture before, but I’ve discovered how to enlarge It( ) so I can see It’s my old drag.
M638 TAO was transfered to Carlisle (where It’s pictured) from Crick after I’d left Stobarts.

How long did you have to lorry?

Hi C.Gill.
Top pic Is taken at Carlisle. These type were known as ‘Euro-drag’s’ & did a lot of the beer can work. Also being under 4 metres high they very frequently drove over to the the European mainland…
Middle pic was/is refered too as a Bottle-drag. As stated In another post that they did mainly plastic bottle work within the U.K. & Ireland as they were over 4 metres In height…
Last pic. This truck was owned by a guy called Mullholland. I’m suprised to see the truck parked long enough for a photo to be taken of It. The guy who drove It went all over Europe In It…
