Well, as 2013 comes to an end, it’s been an eventful year for Stobart’s
With directors and board members coming and going and the closer of the chilled haulage division, it has shaped Stobart’s into a different company for 2014
On the fleet side, we’ve seen the arrival of the first Euro 6 trucks (Volvo FH13 460 and two Scania R450 Highlines), plenty of new Streamline Scania’s and quite a few new Volvo’s arriving, both in the old and new cab shape
The most exciting new vehicles to join the fleet have to be the new Unimog’s and Zetros’s. Not a great lot is known about the purpose of these mega trucks yet and there is quiet a lot of rumours going about but nothing that has been confirmed. But, most are saying they are for a new energy contract which is been kept hush hush.
Also, more Car Transporter’s have been added to the Autologic divison, all of which have been Scania P440’s Car Transport Drags. They have also be re wrapping quiet a lot of the old MCD and Autologic wagons in a white and green Stobart livery. All new vehicles to this division however have been in the cab wrap.
The company also moved most transport operations from Crick to it’s new depot at Rugby Truck Stop and more development is expected on this during 2014
Also, the long running saga of Carlisle Airport is continuing to cause battles back home in ■■■■■■■ but it now looks like a solution has been reached with the possible movement of operations from Kingstown to Kingmoor Park if the airport plans fail.
Also, quite a few depot closers and fleet reductions have happened mainly due to the chilled operations. Depots mainly hit are Newark and Coupar Angus but both depots remain open but on a smaller basic
I will of cause keep the thread updated and will keep posting pictures

Hello robthedog
Sadly no, Fiona doesn’t work for Stobart’s anymore but she now works for a riding stables where she can be often found driving horseboxes
Her old depot, Newark, is still open but operating a much reduced fleet of around 35 trucks. This once was home to around 65/70 trucks

Was in at DAF @ carlisle today and PY61 BHF ‘ozzy jude’ was in. I think she is for sale as well but couldnt figure out if it was. Nice looking truck too…
