The dvla think they're untouchable and their slowly killing me

Can’t you get your Doctor to write to the dvla?

Because you have been prescribed certain medication, it doesn’t mean you can have any amount of it in your system.

It’s not the amount that’s the problem their saying i took illegal drug’s on the day of the test ,im 57 for goodness sake i dont even drink i just take what my doctor prescribed legally but the dvla have said different and there seems no way of changing what is basically an innocent man in prison ,that’s realty what it feels like after 3 long years sorry to be a winger Thaks for your reply

Thats very kind of you sir Thanks for your reply

Why on eath would i make something like this up that’s absolutely ludicrous but thanks for your sympathic reply

I know this sounds like a mad conspiracy theory but my new doctor won’t bother the dvla doctor, my old doctor passed me without question in January 22 but then they sent for a test after my ban and the fore mentioned happened and my licence was suspended for a further 12 months It just feels like checkmate. Things like this really look at the post office and the wrongs that went on there.

dont smoke the wakki bakki then oh and try to keep the story straight…

Probably not what you want to hear, but a prescription is not a get out of jail free card.
Various substances, be they illicit or legitimate, can affect judgement and motor skills.
You need to talk to your doctor about changing your medication. There may be alternatives that do not trigger the test. If your current doctor is not cooperative, change doctors.

Every drug test I’ve had I had to list all medication I was currently taking. If the test was positive and you showed the DVLA the doctors prescription why would they say you got it illegally.

I don’t think the person is asking about a truck licence it sounds like it’s a car licence

I would think that you would get a bit of notice before taking any tests
Get notice go to gp, explain what’s happened before and get different medication or stop taking it for the notice period
Bring a letter and copy of prescriptions to test
If GP is not helpful then if possible change gp
Personally if i was being sent for tests for something like what you are and was on medication i would have checked before test that the medication would not affect the results
If you did check before then sounds like the gp gave you bad advice
Good luck

My point exactly, because they have all the power they think they can do what they like and their not far off the mark.

probably because they know the decay rate and metabolites etc. I suspect that the reason they are getting twitchy if any ot this is true is that the levels are wrong for his prescribed dosage. There are two docs that are refusing to look at it according to the op there must be a reason.

You are the fourth or fifth person to suggest he goes back to his doctor or see a different one at the surgery but he wont he just spouts the same thing over and over

you could be on a police blacklist and not know it.I say that as i myself was on one once . I drove an oldish car at the time altho in good nick i assumed cos it was oldish thats why i was being stopped more often than normal. Breathalysed everytime . Eventually i twigged that somehow i was on a police database ,probably a mad ex had told lies to the police who knows.Anyhoo i changed my car it wasnt any newer but the police never stopped me again .

Thanks for that mate it sounds the most likely answer yet but how does that extend to the dvla, it all skinks to high heaven mate :+1:

Did you think a hairy-arsed trucker that spends too much time posting waffle to a forum was going to say: “Oh wait a minute, I’ve got a man on the inside at the DVLA, and he can sort this out for you.”?

Yeah course lol nah it wasn’t meant as a question guy it was just me openly wondering htf they get away with it. I understand they’ve other road users to think about but how can they do all this with not a shread of evidence because non exists

Numberplate recognition cameras, cross referencing registered owners’ licences can work as fast as the cameras can pass said numberplates travelling in the same or opposite direction and parked either side of the road. A flag on either the numberplate or licence is likely to invite a stop.
Orwellian, or what?

I can see a pattern here. We tell you your levels were too high, you come back and say the DVLA shouldn’t be able to get away with it. I’m thinking highly likely you are a troll.

The police and dvla in combo and yes some of my posts could be read differently to what I meant but my head is totally in bits and as for troll, I can see your point but ■■ me man you’ve got to be one sad bugger to even consider trolling but I suppose they’re about.

Your the only one who can sort it by changing your meds and stop smoking pot
Otherwise this is perfect for you
