hres some long ones from the early 90’s.
Smashing pictures them, I’ll bet that trailer bloke had a crick in his kneck after that Only been up The Braes twice to get the ferry from Scrabster, I saw a Bedford mobile drilling rig in the escape lane on one trip, a real nasty little bit of road for sure.

I did the Braes twice on Thursday (about the 5th time up there this year), delivering cattle feed on a blower trailer to Wick and bringing oats back from Castletown.
Always take it steady and look out for trucks coming up when I’m southbound.
I dont care whats behind I’m going at my speed !!
Parked up for 45 just above Helmsdale in sunshine and woke up to a blizzard !

this snow was no different to the snow back then , coz we still got stuck in it . spent 2 days at tain could’nt get any further , we walked a couple of mile in a blizzard and found a hotel with a bar and a log fire …heaven,… and as luck would have it there was a chinkies across the road .
A few years back managed to film me n Cashy ( thats young Cashy, ayup Terry) doing the ‘Berridale’.I accidently deleted the film from my file but i had previously posted it on youtube, so you should see it on the address below;
