Thanks for all the replies with tips and advice etc.
Sadly a deal could not be struck during my meeting with them this morning. 
They were happy to pay my standard rate but expected that for all hours, not just the first 40 when it would then go up to time 1.5. I tried to meet them half way and said in that case I would just work 40hrs per week for them but they wouldn’t have it as they wanted me to work 6 full days, 5 nights out and max legal hours every week. 
I left it with them to think about and said the offer would still be there if they changed their minds. 
Trouble is Rob some silly bugger will take that as a good deal instread of standing the ground and making some of these outfits pay decent rates.
