Had a great night at the Syms reunion. A big thanks to Jock Henderson and Bob Daniels for getting everyone together, it was good to see people and talk about old times looking forward to the next one already. Drivers travelled from all over the country some coming over from Spain which shows the respect drivers had for each other years ago afraid to say thats all gone now…old times were good times. Great to see the treble 3 squardron together again.

Hi Jer, nice to see you and your dad again last saturday at the Syms Reunion,a superb night. It was great catching up with the boys again,…your right the old times were the good times,a top class firm,top class drivers,and a top class fleet,what more could you want! Didn’t see him there but there was loads of people I didn’t get to talk to. Got there at 6.30pm and left at 1.30am. Had a brilliant time.

No, I work for Gent Transport. I worked with Ivor when he worked for Jim Broome working at IPEC with his old mate Jim Topping.

Hi folks,
A farm where i tip on a regular basis nr Devizes is where i met " Chris Oldham " . Now Chris and I started swapping a few stories and it transpired that he had 16 years as a driver for Syms of Calne. Well superb i thought as i remember seeing there smart F86s 88s F7s 10s & 12s flying around in the 70s & 80s. So i managed to cadge some absolute gems of pictures off him to share with the good folk of T-NET.
There may be some ex Syms drivers or associates, or some people who recognise some of the Syms lads. So enjoy…
