A few weeks back I saw a double deck urban artic run by AF Blakemore/Spar on the M6. It was quite a short trailer yet very tall.
Does anyone have any photos of them please?
I’ve had a look online but not seen anything yet…

I think you are referring to Blakemore logistics, the own-account arm of Spar owner AF Blakemore, who took delivery of what was believed to be the first urban refrigerated double-deck trailers in the UK, courtesy of Gray & Adams.

Has it got the auto gearbox from hell ,whiplash
Thinking about it your user name [whiplash ]is what you will suffer bouncing off bays with that gearbox,a lad a work hit a bay that hard with the lorry surging back that fast ,he cracked the bricks round the bay and he put a claim in for whiplash ,i dont know how he went on with ,saying that it was one of the first autos which were shocking ,ive havent driven the new ones ,are they any better
Thanks for the concern lads over my back and neck, but no,had that handle for a long time now!
it is a truly appallling gearbox, and, even though we had Daf reps over from UK,to placate us,they just wouldnt accept it.Ours kick from manual to auto at 30kph,so even more frustrating.Any inclines, even when empty cages on board, and the box is up and down like a whores knickers! Cold cab, windscreens resealed,on about 30 so far as the noise was unbearable on windy nights. In fairness to our gang, they stuck boxes on the outside,as there
s shag all storage inside.
Very poor fuel returns also.Lots of cross country work with us.
Price,price,price!
Marry in haste repent at your leisure!
