I wonder if there is a holding operation for the illegals as theres only so much space available per truck. Perhaps they will find themselves queing up for ages also. Its certainley good practice for the UK as we are experts at it.

How do you go on if you need the bog or food and refreshments when stuck in this?They put portaloos along the side of the motorway at intervals. It’s well publicised that it is operation long before you get there so you have warning to get food. When it’s really bad it has been known for sandwiches and things to be brought out.
Most drivers stuck in it will be used to being out for at least a few days at a time so will have supplies on board.

I bet they’ve got their sleeping bags with them, I’ve heard through the grapevine that there’s not a sleeping bag or a gas stove to be had in the camping shops in Calais

11 hours sat inching forwards on M20 for me today, now in port and a 3 hour wait for a ferry. Such a fun day. Doing a parcel trunk and well over hours now.

Offensive,bad taste,maybe but the same was said by certain religious group about Charlie Hebdo excersising their right to free speech,deiseldog made a poor joke but that’s all it was,we’re all adults on here (well most of us) and I saw it for what it was,I don’t think its a reason to ban anyone from a site
There’s far too much ■■■■■ footing around these days over whether someone might possibly be offended by some remark. We have had high profile cases in the newspapers because someone has called an African or Carribean by the name they wanted to be called 20 -30 years ago (coloured), but have now decided that they want to be called the the name they were complaining about back then(Black).
As for Zyklon B, yes it would quite possibly be effective to have skull and crossbones stickers with Zyklon B underneath plastered over a trailer to deter illegals. That doesn’t have to mean the lorry is carrying the chemical.

For those of us who live near the M20 J8 and need to travel between Maidstone and Ashford Operation Stack is a PITA. The A20 becomes worse than it ever was before the motorway was built with all the traffic that is now diverted onto it. After all the years it has been in operation it makes me wonder why they don’t let burger vans drive up the middle and sell hot food.
Thought I’d join the party this morning as it sounds so much, portaloo’s for 3000 drivers, you better hope you’re 1st in the queue, as number 2999 isn’t going to be a repeatable experience
Anyway got bored just queing up at junction 8, so waved goodbye to the flipflops and headed to marleys lenham to load 
Well 16hrs,and I’m bloody starving. At the front of the tunnel stack line but haven’t moved an inch for a few hours now. It’s all very well having the signs up on the m25 saying stack in operation, but surely no one can see them selves being in it for longer than a 15hr day? Seriously wondering if a pizza delivery would get through now, with a possible 6hr wait at the tunnel just to board food is a distant dream…

Some of the comments are interesting it shows how much it affects everyone else as well as the poor sods waiting for the channel crossing. Great, my firm sends 1 or 2 lorries a day up and over from Cornwall, I’ll try and avoid that run til next week
re delays traveling from cornwall… would it not be a good idea to sail from portsmouth southampton or poole?

I very much doub’t that most on here would find diesel dogs comments offensive, but he does have a valid point something needs to be done and so far those pricks who make the rules (Governments)have let us all down in a spectacular way, and not just concerning imigration illegal or other
As far as the zyclon b reference the only thing i find offensive is the easily offended or those who get offended on behalf of others or those who attempt to be offensive for prophet.
How many of us googled zyclon b and where reminded of the german attrocities, to forget would be really offensive.
