What a classic summertime street scene! Very much as I remember congested high streets in the 1950s when I was growing up. :sunglasses: Love the Mk 3 AEC tanker. The Standard shooting brake with its bonnet up was not a common vehicle. There’s the sleek raked back coachwork of the single decker receding. Nice ‘Aunty’ P4 Rover to the right.

And a more modern 3 litre disappearing out of view bottom left. I liked all those old Rovers.

On the A87 and The Cuillins Isle of Skye.

So did I. I had a couple: a P4 100 and then a P4 95. Beautiful cars.

Is that a NUN checking her oil on the Standard shooting brake ?

Hope she enjoyed her walk to the kerb after parking the car.

If she was in this country, she’d have been pinged for parking on the wrong side of the road.

What are the rules where you are. She’s parked in the direction of the traffic.

I was being facetious because of how far she’s parked from the kerb.

That’s my lorry, picture taken in my local town, Bourne, Lincs. Annual classic car show on Fathers Day, normally held in the local park but unable that year due to soft grass after a long spell of rain, so a few roads closed off and show moved to the streets and car parks.
