I remember when in 1972 I was going to Denmark watching and taking a photo of the latest then new Rover 2000 being loaded onto the ship I was travelling on with my heart in my mouth. That was before Roll on/Roll off.

Looking at the building in the back ground, I believe that is Larne Harbour, going by the building in the back ground.

Hi ramone, I am fairly confident that that photo was taken near The Red Lion pub in Aldgate, either on Whitechapel Road or Commercial Road, heading towards Commercial Street. I hope this helps.

Is the old Red Lion at Aldgate still going?
If it is I bet it does not resemble how it used to be …not very pc in those days.
Next to the Aldgate underground station as far as I remember…we used to go down there to get a wash prior to getting changed and out for the night.
Red Lion watch the dodgy strippers then down to The Long Bar, and a couple of others that I can’t remember.
Then back to the park which was a ■■■■ big roundabout in the middle of the city (can you imagine that happening today? ) a burger and a coffee at the snack van, then to bed across the seats, or in a sleeper cab if you were lucky.
If that park was full, head for ‘The Ramp’ at Bishopgate Whitechapel, tea at the Greek cafe…then round the bars.
Great days when the job was actually good.

Good call Cav.
I noticed straight away, when Buzzer first posted that photo, The Bank of Baroda. I always wondered where on earth Baroda was, I had a feeling that it wasn’t in Africa and always assumed that it was somewhere in The Caribbean. I kept saying to myself that as soon as I arrived home, I would have a look for it in my world atlas. The trouble was that by the time I did get home, I had forgotten all about it.
B.T.W. with the help of Google, it was a place in India which is now called Vadodara.
