Looks like à bagatelle table on the bottom shelf of the window in the right hand corner . Forerunner of the electronic pinball machine , I got one of those for Christmas when I was a kid … Several decades later , ( about four years ago actually ) , and with a modicum of reluctance it must be said , I donated it to a charity shop in Hindley ……… Bugger!!!

Where did all those years go ?
My mother was brought up in both of those shops in the 30’s, when she passed away three years ago in her 90’s she was still using blankets with the MERY tabs on them and both shops closed before WW2. Both premises are still there and both are still shops, although selling different goods!
