Stobart drivers breathtaking arrogance

Well before you turn right you should
use your mirrors to make sure you know the position and movement of traffic behind you
give a right-turn signal
take up a position just left of the middle of the road or in the space marked for traffic turning right
leave room for other vehicles to pass on the left, if possible.

And■■?

Well before turning right you should look ahead to see if a fellow damsel is waiting to turn out of the junction you wish to enter.
If so position ones self so as to block traffic thus placing everyone behind you in a holding pattern untill fellow damsel has exited your turning.

Give a left turn signal followed by a right whilst you assume the position so as to confuse and block traffic so your fellow damsel can progress with safety and on their merry way.
A tang wave or excited flash of the indicator will follow from said damsel but be prepared for angry feeble toots from behind, simply ignore them and proceed with caution.
If lucky the traffic on the opposite carriagway will also hold station to allow your to enter the junction.

TruckingHell:
I presume this is all the worse because it was an ESL driver?

I’ve been held up in similar situations in the past, at other hauliers yards, whilst a mate / colleague or indeed fellow drive decided to let his mate / colleague or indeed fellow driver out…

If that’s all that’s ruined your day, think yourself lucky mate!

STOP PRESS*******
Tell you what pal, pack the driving job in and become an editor for one of the red tops. With sensational stories like that you’ll be untouchable!!! WOW

Was he having a ■■■ in his cab too?

And not wearing his tie ow not forgeting watching norbetes helicopter landing in the feild next to the yard while a load of Mormons give a sermon

NewLad:
I’ve done it for one of our drivers on the A17 near QV foods Holbeach, you can sit at that junction for 15 minutes waiting to turn right (I know I’ve done it) I just flashed when I saw him and knocked the cc off job done.

it was mark dixon coming out the yard to turn right
the driver holding up the traffic was only doing what his bosses have told him to do

I would be proud to have waited 30 minutes in a queue so the UK’s top driver could go about his business.
Happens all the time round here with buses you can’t move for a bus blocking a junction to let his mate out.

My solution is to carry a milk bottle full of petrol and a rag.
When this happens I simply pull alongside, light it and throw it under the offending vehicle.
Although in fairness if fuel keeps going up I’ll simply have to resort to running the offender off the road.

This lad let his mate out last week cost me almost 3 minutes on my journey.

I always feel quite sorry for ‘full time’ uniformed, Stobart Drivers, because they are at the whim of those utter ‘Blaggards’ that call themselves ‘Planners’… Yeah, ok, whatever!!

I find a lot of drivers get roundabouts and junctions confused nowadays. Drivers seem to think when approaching a junction that the give way line is accross the main carriageway. Understandably if you are turning into a junction and there is not enough room then let them out, but its those who stop or slow down impeding progress intentionally that i dont understand.

Farmers utter arrogance.

Yesterday while driving along the road a farmer waved me down as he wanted to let his cows cross the road. Udderly ridiculous. The cows were in a field and the red necked yokel was mooving them over the road into another field. Surely he should hire a wagon to do this. Cows don’t pay Road tax so shouldn’t be on the highway.

Bet he was even cashing in on government grants to hold me up.

At one point I counted a car and a minibus behind me in the tail back. Hector did wave as I sped off knocking the last heifer over.
At no point did he think about the children that were traumatic at being stuck in a stifling hot minibus.

Hope badgers descend from the heavens and inflict his herd with tuberculosis.

Legal disclaimer. This did not happen.

We had a thread on here not long ago where they were saying stobart drivers at rugby truck stop don’t talk to each other, now were being told they block roads helping one another out  :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: seems a strange way too behave.

098joe u sad ■■■■■■■ !!!

This is one of the most pointless threads I’ve read on here since joining, for f’s sake, what is the problem with being curtious, would the op be complaining if i was in my car, and slowed down to let him out of a junction.

We are all lorry drivers (although I just do it at weekends), next he will be complaining that a lorry driver has blinded him for flashing a fellow driver in after an overtake…
