Is this legal for taking a breaks over your 10 hour drive period?
Example of a shift
30 minutes other work
3.5 hours drive –
30 minutes other work
32 minutes break *
50 minutes drive –
32 minutes break *
20 minutes drive. –
20 minutes other work
32 minutes break *
30 minutes drive –
32 minutes break *
4 hours drive –
If I’m correct I’ve driven 4 hours 20 minutes had 1 hour split break then drove 50 minutes taken another split break then left my self my second 4.5 hours to drive on the way back ?

That’s looks legal, though you have had far more break than legally necessary, a split break can be 15 minutes then 30 minutes totalling 45 minutes
why do you have 32 minutes break?
When I’m tight for time I do 17 and 32 minute splits or 47 minutes to make sure that I have a proper minute at start and finish of each break.
My main reason for taking 32 mins is I made two mistakes over a 2 yr period and my breaks ended up being 30-15 minutes which is wrong and I got find £120 for only being human .! So I now take plenty time when able to

That is because your break can only be split 15 - 30 not the other way round
