Thanks ROG, so I would have been legal to reduce the weekly rest I am on right now… darn it, I missed out on a shift with a top firm this morning, nevermind I’ve got a shift starting 03:00 tomorrow at weekend rates… yipee
No you cannot reduce the current weekly rest UNLESS you start a full weekly rest before midnight this sunday
Unless I have your permission to mention the content of your PM to me then I cannot say much more

Yes by all means, I’m sure it will help others as well.
Thanks especially as I might have made an error - Am only human
Have used full instead of regular
No driving job before this point
sat 8/6 1610 to mon 10/6 1418 = full weekly rest for 10/6 - 16/6
fri 14/6 1037 to tue 18/6 1003 = full weekly rest for 17/6 - 23/6
sat 22/6 0549 to sun 23/6 1254 = unused weekly rest
wed 26/6 1942 to sat 29/6 0255 = full weekly rest for 24/6 - 30/6
mon 1/7 0312 to tue 2/7 0700 = reduced weekly rest for 1/7 - 7/7
sun 7/7 2050 to wed 10/7 1333 = full weekly rest for 8/7 - 14/7 (payback done for reduced above)
mon 15/7 2214 to thur 18/7 1411 = full weekly rest for 15/7 - 21/7
wed 24/7 0123 to fri 26/7 1000 = full weekly rest for 22/7 - 28/7
thur 1/8 0430 to sat 3/8 0842 = full weekly rest for 29/7 - 4/8
sat 3/8 2155 to mon 5/8 1630 = reduced weekly rest for 5/8 - 11/8
tue 6/8 2300 to thur 8/8 1430 = unused weekly rest but used for payback from above
fri 9/8 0430 to sat 10/8 0600 = unused weekly rest
wed 14/8 2230 to now = weekly rest for 12/8 - 18/8 but could be full or reduced as 1930 friday (today) will determine which it is
As it was a reduced for 5/8 to 11/8 then it must be a full for 12/8 to 18/8
Can some one please link me to the act that covers drivers legislation, I have GV262-03 in pdf, but this isn’t the actual act is it, its just Vosa’s guide based on it. I want to read the act with my own eyes. Thanks

Thanks for that ROG, after reading through that it shows Vosa’s guide is a perfectly good representation, not that I thought it wouldn’t be, just that I have an aviation back ground and I’m used to getting my info direct from the legislation.
Edit:- Had an interesting conversation about this today whilst on an assessment with Sainsburys (which I passed)
