Hi there
Anyone out there remember roland simey based in castle douglas, also morton boyle who used to deliver for tarf valley in his trusty old ERF , would,nt mind a pound for every mile on the clock on that one, I can just about remember the st ivel motors that hauled out of tarf creamery at ringford though cant recall what make the units were, keep the posts coming , all great memories

About 1950 I stayed at the farm above Tarff Creamery and frequent visitors were H Tideswells from Kingsley 6 and 8wh AECs loaded with wooden barrells and at that time O type Bedford units with Scammell couplings and tanker trailers seemed to be the creamerys main motors I think they were running in Unigate livery.

This is Roland Simeys Transcon, if my memory serves me correctly i think he was in the transport office at H Coulthards for a while.

i remember as a teenager in c/d when he bought it parked up in queen street.thought it the smartest lorry about.
