Hi Daibootsy,
Many thanks for displaying the MALTA TRUCKSHOW poster. I arrive in Malta that morning, so that`s a good start to my holiday. Are you, or is anyone else attending this magnificant gathering of preserved vehicles ?

Hi all,a couple of ken williams motors swansea.

Not the best picture i know but it shows one of Pontlottyn Transports Bedford TK’s waiting to be loaded on Coedely Colliery coal dump stockpile

An old K series Dodge in a colliery car park somewhere in South Wales

Finally a Wenvoe Quarries Bedford TK showing off it’s new Telehoist body

Those two Bedfords are KM’s yanto36,bigger brother to the TK,drove those and a K sries Dodge the same as in your pic.

I wondered about that Andrew,when I looked at it.I have a pic of one of Conod’s Marathon’s,not sure if it’s that one,got the other in Heritage Commercial.

i am pretty sure that the dodge pictured is at the old abergorki colliery that was once in mountain ash,it was closed in the early eighties but parts of the colliery was used as the national plant and transport depot.

Well is it a small world or not! It looks as if Dai Echos son David is into lorries, check out the drawing board page 84 Aprils T&D. Looks like a Renault Premium to me, nice job too.
I had never heard of Dai Echo until yesterday, and then I read his name in the magazine, but even more important is the drawing below it, a Mack cab-over drawn by my Daughter Rhiann Angharad from a sunny Saint Cloud FL.
Rhiann is 11 now and drives my car by herself, at 15 she will get a learners permit ( L plates ) and at 16 a full license.
Here they get their license in school, its called drivers education and is an important part of High School.

rydian was my mate when i was with keedwell on the low loader.he,s a good low loader driver as he was going with graham keedwell when he was in school.hes been well and truly brought up with it.now with john and jerry on their merc they couldnt get a better bloke.i note the reg of mcarthy,s merc too. :neutral_face:

graham hillman has kindly rang me this morning,i also had calls from 2 other friends of mine :smiley: .to say “that bloody big walters scania is west bound on the m4”,sadly i made a dog’s breakfast of the pictures :blush: .this section of a komatsu 3000 is,i am told, known as "the carriage"it must have been oversize,as the police were both front and rear escorting.what gross weight were you running at graham?

thankfully graham emailed me some of his own pictures of the off loading at east pit open cast.
