Thanks for the Dutch photos mate.TDW and their subbie’s are still doing a lot of international work,as are the fleet of Ronnie S.Evans,Infact,I saw one of their Actros’ heading north on the A16 near Dunkerque,whilst returning from Belgium recently.

I found this old newspaper article online.I remember my father telling me about this truck many times.I am told Bill Entress was a Swedish national? Who came here during the war and made his home in Swansea,apparently that’s where his fleets colour scheme originated from,the colours of the Swedish national flag,Would also explain why Entress ran so many Swedish trucks,at a time when not many others in the U.K. did.Either way,wether all of that’s true or not ? Entress is a very unusual name in South Wales.Though with regard to this particular Entress,they have assured their place in U.K. road haulage industry folk law,as a forward thinking big firm of their time.
Thats a good find Andrew, sounds feasible that he was a Swedish national.

Hi all,
Thanks to Dean for kindly sharing the Wynns Invincible photo.Several of us met up at my place yesterday morning to head to Fishguard in our trucks and meet a couple more,to attend a memorial run for our dear old friend Gareth Thomas.The memorial run was organised by a customer/friend of mine,Dafydd “Ginge” Evans.After breakfast at Hall and Roache’s yard at Fishguard,the sight before us could barely be believed! Over 100 trucks,including some friends who’d come over from Ireland.
After leaving Fishguard we travelled south through St.Davids,Solva and Newgale,through the centre of Haverfordwest and onto Haverfordwest airfield.After we all (108 trucks) left there,we travelled through Egwlys wrw and north through the centre of Cardigan.Finally parking up at Newcastle Emlyn Rugby Club.A fantastic turn out,that imo truly reflects the admiration and respect that Gareth so richly deserved.People lined the streets waving and thanking drivers from far and wide for their attendance,drone footage has been put online along with thousands of images.The following images are just several I found.The coastal shots are courtesy of our good friend Ron Weatherall.

Tony was behind the wheel of a Bedford drop side flat,part of the Tommy Williams collection.Some drone footage images here.Firstly Hall & Roache’s Fishguard yard,at the start of the run.Then the stunning and a first for me,run over the Presceli mountain.Been a long time since that number of lorries drove through the centre of Cardigan.Finally,Caerphilly’s favourite son and his mighty 141.

It really was a tremendous sight,though the sheer number of us,initially concerned me.I was wrong the public loved it, Great to see Rowly back behind the wheel of his 141.
