Hi dai,
Good info mate :sunglasses: .i bet you remember seeing this daf, always reminded me of Gerry jones’ colours  I gather you are joining us at Malvern?you are coming up on Saturday I am told.

Talking of Gerry jones.

I spotted this picture on another thread and ‘borrowed’ it for here.

Reason 1: It was taken at Abergavenny steam rally and I think the van belongs to the guy who owns Bassaleg hire in Newport.

Reason 2: Regular readers of this thread may spot something familiar in the picture.
Neil.

Neil, would that be the umbrella? Oops, sorry closer examination reveals the cab of Andrews Pete.

Dai, that’s a blast from the past F C Brooks Caerphilly. Wasn’t it mostly ridgid box vans they ran.

Regards to all,
Paul

pete 359:

Hi Andrew, Gerry Jone’s motors always look nice. That livery is just right, striking, but not over the top.
Best wishes to all, for this show season.

Rowly, I didn’t realise Catnic had so many hauliers contracting for them. I thought it was mainly their own private fleet that delivered their products.
I was surprised when you said the Transcontinentals in their colours were subby’s.
Talking of colours and liverie’s, why not do your F89 and tilt in Catnic Black and Orange! That would turn some heads, and have a local theme.
Talking of Transcon’s does anyone remember the ones FRAM Filters ran out of Treforest.

Paul
