Hi all, Andrew great shots of Thomas Bros 88s and 12s. Looks as if TFD 909R is parked in Davies and Meredith’s yard there with the damaged windscreens. As you said iconic motors, but I must say I don’t recall seeing them on the road. Having said that they probably didn’t spend much time around the Heads of the Valleys.

Regards Paul.

Hi saltiel1411,
Thanks for that.cant say I knew many of the Newport/Caerphilly boys on the Middle East, though the names are familiar to me.i think that’s a young George McLennan? In this photo?you could fill the internet with Middle East stories of him and his brother huw? Was great to spend the afternoon with billy.plenty of photos left yet.am hoping to meet up with billy at South cerney this weekend.

your welcome Andrew, if you do catch up with Bill pls ask him if he can name the rest, Me old Dad always spoke very highly of Bill, as a young lad I spent a lot of time at Hicks yard in Rhiwderin and met many of the drivers and subies there, and i was lucky enough to have gone twice to the middle east with the old man. the photos bring back some great memories" keep on posting"
