Hi all,
Here are a few more sent to me by m4dogwalker.courtesy of my mate Bubbleman all taken during the 80’s.
Manse with a Seddon Atki! Whodathunkit? The Manse Scanias on here were a revelation to me let alone this. They’re so identified with Volvos now and seem to be well-regarded as a dealer hence lots of Volvos around this neck of the woods. I can’t help thinking ‘what if’ he’d settled on Scannies instead.
Hiya,…PHO99P had several owners, she first went into service with Paul Maggs of Paulton, she then went and spent time with North Somerset Haulage where she wore the company red livery then she was put to work on containers on contract to Whitwills in Avonmouth. She went to auction in Shepton Mallet and was bought by Mansel Davies…the pic above I took on the overbridge on Leigh Delamere services…they didn’t run her for very long as I believe she was a bit thirsty…the last time I saw her was on the coal convoys during the miners strike with Mansels name scrubbed out.
Cheers Bubbs,

Hi rowly,
The white one that graham mentioned was photographed by a customer of ours in west Wales just last week,he showed me the picture on his phone.there is or was? A maroon 401 unit in sharpness, not sure of any others in our region.
Regards andrew.
A Manse Roadtrain - seen it all now. You can probably tell the ones he had new cos of the Pembrokehire ‘DE’ reg plates on them - by which logic I’d assume this Roadtrain was a second-lifer too.
