this 88 was an ex south wales motor I recall, sold at Gaydon in 2002? to Chris Iorns, restored and since sold on
This is one of Bob Davies ( R. I. P. ) trucks, I think he was an ex W G Davies driver. We sold our ERF on the previous pages to him.

the man himself, RIP John. Even on a cold morning on shap, he would be wearing a vest…
who remembers getting stuck on the A41 or similar behind these motors, either ERF or Fodens, usually ran out of BSC Shotton, this motor was on the steelboys run a few years ago, owner had to stop on the Evesham By Pass for a rest due to the Swedish Pace…
2002 Steelboys Run, “it was never meant to be this big” said Steve Evans…the 2010 DVD is due to be on release in the New Year, this years theme is Convoy, with a few faces well known to this thread…ever so glad we know some one with a Texan Atki, who was free to do a little filming, not that he needed his arm twisting…
Does anyone recall the trip Truck Magazine did in the late 70’s to Volvo HQ in Gothenburg, these snaps were taken at the demo centre when the F10/12 range had been just released. I cant think what influence it had on me…
afew snaps from the collection, last 2 are Manor Transport from Llay, near Wrexham, now gone I think, last truck driver by ex Shones driver Brian “curley” Hughes, Manor used to deliver axles ex ROR to CF trailers in Norfolk, by the load on a regular run
Foxley European, again Altami, near Mold, driver of this Merc was help hostage in Italy?, in the early 80’s, was a big news story in Buckley then!, when us locals did 2 loads a day to Ellesmere Port!
