actually dennis i have got a triaxle coil well trailer i bought as a damage repairable down workshop now you come to mention it but i havent thought about what id put behind the merc yet cheers martyn.
Morning Gentlemen, well you Welsh wizards have got me going again. I had quite forgotten what a nice lorry the V8s were, I ran quite a few 1628s on my rental fleet back in the late 80s, they were good if a little uninspiring work horses. I always thought that their exhaust note sounded like a hard working vacumn cleaner! Though the lorries were good I could never really feel comfortable with the Mercedes people, and when they introduced their factory Contract Hire scheme, and (unsuccesfully) tried to “poach” one of my Contract clients, (who I had put Mercedes product into), well that was the end for them, I sold the lot!! But they were a good lorry, and as you look back at the lines, quite a classic looker. Martyn, I hope that you have great pleasure from your new truck, good luck, (and a loaded coiler would be bang on) Cheerio for now.

Theres a classic commercial show at the Three Counties showground near Malvern on Saturday October 8th that some of the usual suspects are planning to take their trucks to. Link to website for info and entry forms here: http://www.classicshows.org/malvern081011.phpLet us know if you want to go, theres the possibility some of us will go up on the Friday to stay over, either on site or at nearby Upton on Severn.
Neil.
Just to let people who may want to visit know that the Malvern show is this Saturday.
