while I’ve been sat here ignoring the procession that is F1 I worked out the km’s for both routes,
the difference is the ruta de la plata from irun to sevilla is 53km shorter but has more peages so all in all about the same expense. if you’re heavy as well that damned climb after tolosa before alsasua is a nightmare compared to the smaller one after sunbilla so i suppose its 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.
the ruta de la plata is perfect if using the long boats though, just perfect

one must admit to being slightly known in the local area 
I’ve just met euroboy, on his way from portimao to munich with 7 colleagues all loaded with new jaguars. been to portimao for a month for journalist testing 
and are now on there way to munich for another month except one whos going to the nurburgring
