ok, I’d like to pick your brains about DD’sWe are looking at re-introducing double deck trailers into the ASDA George network. We were the 1st ASDA section to have them years ago for trunking before the food depots used them for store delivery. I’m part of the team tasked with creating a plan to use these for store delivery too.
Now, we use a tail lift fleet as our stuff cannot be taken off by forklift, just by a bay, scissor lift or tail lift. So a tail lift is a must.
Because we also aim to collect empties for each store we visit, and plan to regularly load a DD with 3 or 4 drops, we’d ideally like to unload the top deck 1st.Basically the question is:
Do any of you use a double deck trailer, with an external tail lift that services top and bottom deck?? We also need a movable deck for loading at the depot.
Who manufactures the trailer?I remember seeing Comet with these before they went under.
Ok this guy works for ASDA and he has asda hackers telling him how to go about buying double decker trailers for ASDA, and ASDA being the second biggest in the UK. O my god how slow are some people
