I’ve kept an eye on this topic since it began, so I’ll assure everybody that I’ve read every post so far.
As I see it (IMHO) there’s some wonderment at low posting figures and some quite accurate observations from a number of posters. Then there are a couple of posts from the bewildered souls who (still ) simply don’t get what TruckNet UK is about, and so exhibit a lack of understanding of the rules.

Still IMHO… it’s been pointed out that we have what some posters think is an issue with those who use multiple IDs.
Yet again, I have to explain that this is not against the forum rules.
However, I completely agree that these people are potentially very annoying… if you respond to their nonsense.
To answer a question… it isn’t possible to 100% know whether somebody has registered on TN with a normal ‘home’ type IP address, and then also uses a mobile phone on ‘roaming’ at the same time. That person can therefore have two IDs and argue with himself (and anybody else who’s mug enough to respond ) on TN, but is undiscoverable, even if we amended the forum rules to ban multiple IDs.
TBH, the people who call them out make more trouble for us than the multiple ID brigade could hope to cause, because we have the sense to ignore them.
My honest advice to everybody is that if you think somebody has multiple IDs, you have two choices:
1.) Call them out on it, then take part in the ensuing mayhem of them denying it, petty name calling, Mod/Amin involvement in trying to sort it all out, followed by the locking or removal of the topic, OR
2.) Simply scroll past whatever you don’t like thereby depriving it of the oxygen it seeks.
To me, it’s a no brainer… but it’s YOUR choice if you’re easily entertained and/or have nothing better to do.
TruckNet UK has a certain ethos, which makes it quite different to other forms of social media, which many of the members appreciate. However, this is an alien concept to some other members who (IMHO) seem to think that all social media is the same and that they can completely please themselves. THOSE are the members who we invite to go elsewhere to sites more in keeping with their expectations.
In this bracket, I include those who bring nothing to the table then sneak out from under their rock to simply have a pop at the Mod/Admin Team or anything else that takes their fancy before slinking away again.

To those on pre-mod…
You only have yourselves to blame, because it’s not something we do lightly or even enjoy.
From our point of view, it causes us more work, but without it… there’d be mayhem, so we do it in the name of the sensible majority.
For those on pre-mod who think it’s some form of censorship, you’re dead wrong!!
You can still write whatever you want, the difference being that experience has taught us that you often write stuff that’s against the forum rules in some form or other, so your output needs monitoring before being allowed/denied.
If you expect to be able to completely please yourself about what you write, or who you insult (as you can on other sites) … then please don’t get all disappointed and indignant when you find that you can’t do that on TN.
Which then leaves YOU with a choice to make.

It might well be true that some members have migrated elsewhere, or find that they have less time, or have some other things to attend to. The potential reasons for a member ‘going missing’ are many and varied, so it wouldn’t be fair of me (or anybody else) to speculate as to the reason(s) for a particular member not being around. Let’s just say that everybody has a private life and sometimes bad stuff happens!!
