What with the dreaded Dartford Bridge to contend with i really am worrying now maybe ill just take an extra day off just to be safe thus eliminating the need for taking essential trucker kit to work

There is an ‘Outback Truckers’ marathon on the Quest channel today.

I must warn you though that viewer descretion is advised as there are shocking and disturbing scenes of truckers changing tyres, holding spanners and even sleeping in their cabs (possibly without a sleeping bag).
Perhaps viewing from behind a cushion is wise. :wink:

I Always took the kitbag, because when I got 100 miles from home the old man would call my next drop ( pre mobile days) and send a message for me to go elsewhere …normally sodding miles and then further , Often for days !
It was just a sensible habit to me.
But then again I did have a heater and curtains in the old truck along with the young missus quite often who also had a licence .
