My friend buy Snoopers for 300 pound and he was driving in London.Sat nav show road where low bridge.Snooper ,Tom tom just pump money but nobody give 100 percent quality.I in last 3 years use Cheap sat nav XGODY with truck function and this model work more perfect that another for 400 quid.
I wouldn’t argue with that. People are fooled into buying TomTom etc with the pretense that somehow they are better and contain more technology.

I Think that most drivers who go to live and work in a country will try to learn the language,if only to make life easier.
But if you get a grasp on english, you never have to learn another language ever again!
That’s what I’ve gathered from the immigrant population here in Norway anyway. Guys living here for years, work 7.5h per day and can’t assemble a short sentence in bokmål.
The bigger the expat community of their respective countries here, the smaller the chance of an individual speaking the local lingo.
Milodon. That’s maybe true but not every country has a large ex pat Community, and not everyone wants to mix with them anyway. When you move somewhere you don’t do it to remain within a Community of ex pats. You assimilate with the indigenous population if you want to be at home in the country of your choise.

Spot on. Ive integrated with the spanish and feel more at home with them than i do with the ex pat community, many who still cant string a sentence together and are mostly up their own arse who think the spanish owe them something…
I should imagine pappise Is laughing his socks off , act a bit dumb , can’t speak the lingo , get lost and he gets the nice little trunk run , um where have I seen they before

When I lived in Spain, the day we moved into our new home, the next door neighbor knocked on our door who owned an orange grove, he brought a large carrier bag of oranges and said welcome to Espania. He brought his daughter with him, who spoke perfect English as he did not, very friendly and welcoming. I know a bag of oranges does not amount to much in monetary terms, the gesture was priceless and it helped us to integrate into the Spanish community. I have very fond memories of the Spanish community and to this day I email regularly with many of them.

… and to spend your 9 hours of wondering about a service station for [zb] sake if your doubled manned you should have got home ,not my idea of fun spending it with a smelly [zb] opposite
If someone wants to live and work in a country they must prove they can speak the language first…
I regularly see EE’s being treated really badly by forkies and warehouse staff because they can’t speak English…it’s not fair on them or anyone else.
I really think that if they’re going to reside in the uk ie living here there should be a ruling no matter what driving licence held that a Highway Code test is taken and PASSED in English

Hi Andreis I also bought the 5" XGody Car/Truck SatNav a couple of years ago, I mainly use it in my car these days but when I switch it over to truck mode It’s been accurate where I was driving. I think I paid around £42 off the bay & it’s still working perfectly.

swedens not bad for a country thats even more openly racist as the uk.once your there, you can go on a voluntary course in basic swedish…as soon as you pass it,they give you about £3000 cash to help you as your trying to learn.
I read a lot about many different things.
Brits asking about arial for tv (why the hell someone want to change font in tv?)
Spears for motorbikes (personaly I preffer swords or axes, but still don’t understand, why someone would like to mount such weapon on his bike)
Driver on FB moaning about company not paying weges (I thought he mean vegetarians)
That’s just few examples.
And You want us, EE’s, to use reasonable English?

The English are the very worst culprits, they’ll live in another country and stick to ex pat communities and as long as theres the Brittania pub and Fish and chip shop on the corner most are happy…

I have no wish to feel at home in Norway myself, but I do at least make an effort to learn the local tongue. Only during the last month have I been called a german, a dutch and an icelander on the grounds of my weird accent
But the point was, in a country where most of the population speaks english, it’s easier for an immigrant to remain indifferent to the actual offical language.
If learning the language of the host country during EU migration is/was mandatory, majority of Brits will be deported back to UK.
And Yes, thats my answer to the thread title. I just wish all native UK population speaks understandable English like in US. Over here you move 5 miles and can not understand what the heck people are talking about…
Let’s be frank , Papize should wash up and make some effort to communicate but
,some people are more capable and some others are not ,it’s not an easy thing to learn another
language ,but one has to master some at least basic interpersonal communication skills .It takes time.
It used to be in early years of 2000 that people would prepare themselves before moving abroad.
Now ,as a pole , I see a different approach, agencies such as Paracross ( don’t know for sure who
they are, believe some brit-polish joint venture ) literally take drivers off the street and send them who
the hell knows where, provide them with some basic accommodation ,where they have to line up
to take a shower early in the morning ( maybe this explain a little why Papize wasn’t exactly emanating
Channel #5 odour ) .Still ,its not his fault,he is just trying to make ends meet, why on the other hand,
british companies are willing to accept risks, lower standards ,instead give a few pounds more and have
locals do the jobs, is baffling. Blame them ,blame the politicians ,dont blame Papize
