Shell loyalty card (other loyalty cards are available)

Big burner:
Shell loyalty card used to be great when they did Air Miles, my credit card also did Air Miles. Between the two of them I used to get at least 1 transatlantic flight per year.

They still do

kr79:
I remember when they used to give glasses and other old tat away been clearing my mums house out and found some very 70s glasses with a cartoon tiger in them from esso

Yep remember most garages did that at different times

kr79:
Bring back green shield stamps

Noooooo unless you going to stick them all into the book

At 1 place I worked at we had a Esso card most of which gave Tesco points soon added up got quite a lot of vouchers to spend in Tesco

That’s the ones. My nan would make the recipes and serve them in the same bowl.
You used to get toy cars with the stamps/tokens too.

P+O Irish sea (Larne - Carnryan ) used to give you a stamp every time you sailed . You collected them on cards of 25 . Each crossing got you one stamp - one stamp equalled £1 of Argos , M+S or Quinsworth (Southern Irish supermarket chain ) vouchers . Full card was £25 and at that time I was sailing 10 times a fortnight . Traded in all the full cards every October for M+S vouchers - put a nice dent in the Christmas shopping .

Never saw the taxman sitting beside me so never thought he deserved a cut lol
That was the best part of 20 years ago - might not sound much now but it ran into about £250 a year - It paid for most of what I eat and drank over the Christmas week off .
BP fuel cards used to give vouchers for every 100 litres of fuel bought -think it was a 50 p voucher for every 100 lts - every so often you used to be able to get a “breakfast” in the services . Maybe its old age but it used to taste slightly better cos it was free .

I pretty much equipped the kitchen of my first flat using Green Shield stamps! I used to know which garages were doing double/triple/etc. on my regular routes.

When I was a paramedic it used to be a gamble to get the ambulance vehicles as low as possible before heading to Tesco or BP for the points :slight_smile:The added gamble of whether your crew mate would choose to fill up on his turn of driving or push it until it was lower on his next drive/how busy it was/whether you’d fill up on your drive! Fun days

I had a few months working for DHL on the Jag LandRover contract, and they provided a BP fuel card. Turns out I could also give them my nectar card at the garage I was using to fill up, netted me a nice amount of points while it lasted! (Enough to get a PS4 from Sainsburys when it launched!)
