I was never a fan of the SA brand at all, but I have to say that it would be a great shame if without the people who have lovingly restored these vehicles, they were allowed to rot. Great pics all

thanks mate I’ve always liked them even the DAF cabbed Strato I drove I’ve never liked Swedish lorries I always thought they were overrated but that’s my own personal opinion
I always thought the cabtec strato on paper should have been a superb truck with the ■■■■■■■ fuller rockwell driveline , but was never as popular as the ‘inferior’ 95 , was this because of the typical british dealer support ,backup etc? I always noticed the strato cab always seemed to suffer tinworm more then the 95

i think the dealer network was good it was probably down to the "badge snobs "

543210 this is my 1981 401 which I’ve had for 7 years it took me 5 years to restore her she’s been restored in the colours of my old employers J Stirland of Nottingham we ran many Seddon Atkinsons over the years all our 401s were Gardner powered they gave us great service most were kept for 10 years plus they did enormous mileage with very little engine trouble great on fuel and reliability
