Hello again,MolePower…Hockins have taken over Clarkes operation and most of their fleet, being very similar liveries the changeover wasn’t immediately recognised.Heres todays stuff.

Sorry lads,Tinypic the picture resizer I use has made it very user unfriendly, its taken me 15 minutes just to get this one pic on,Swearing at the screen aint helped so I give up for today. :unamused:

Bubbs, :frowning:

Right ,I’ve thrown some dinner down the throat, lets try again!!

Well you might only have got a couple of pics up Marcus, but between them there’s a Foden, an ERF and Crusader - quality over quantity mate

Cheers again
Dave MacD

Hi Marcus mate. I would suggest you pulled your hair out. Oh to be young again when the only electric problem was when a valve went in the radio. It was easy to find which one because it never lit up. I have put my photos away ready to take to Gaydon but found a few escapies to put on here.

One of me Marcus when I had hair and a beard. First day on the road for our first 38 tonner. I dont know when C reg was but I still have some of that uniform brand new.

I think he is only asleep over the wheel

Cheers Phil

The photo’s of the two Albion Caledonians brought back a few memories W A Glendinning ran 3/4 similar to the ones in he photo, they were favoured because of the lighter ULW against the Leyland Octopus. They also had a one with the older cab with the radiator on show & one with a Homoloy coach built cab similar to the Mk1 Atki, I always remember it had tartan trim on the doors.

Hi Phil, was that “C” 1985 reg ERF one of Wincantons, just going by the “YA” Summerzet reg. And that Atki artic tanker looks like one of Marshalls from Scunthorpe with that “BE” Lincs Lindsey reg.

Anorak off…

Hello Chris,
Yes the ERF was a Wincanton lorry. I served a 27 year sentence on Wincanton before I was released. Two of us drove that ERF on shift but all the other drivers also got the extra money for driving it. It was a top loader so we must have spent over half an hour extra on a load than the 32 tonners. Some of the pokey garages we delivered too had filler pipes the size of a scaffold pole and it took ages to unload.

Phil.

I’ve had loads of problems recently viewing Bubbs’ pics but tonight, they’ve all appeared without too much clicking of red x’s…
I’ve put this wagon on here in the hope that someone knows who’s bought her. I think Dave the Renegade knows someone who knows the new owner, and it’s been preserved.

Did 25 yrs alltogether for Townson and then Sadler Tankers and wheelnut will remember Roger Townson very well from his days working for him. Thanks for putting this on Phil I have sent you a PM.

Hope a Showman has bought it and its not been broken up ?

Hello,lets try now.

Well that didnt go too bad, tinypic have made resizing very difficult, they put 2 words which you have to copy…thats ok but now they blur them so o’s,and e’s and s’s look the same ,this means that a faliure happens, this becomes a right ballache and very frustrating, anyway these were the shots that should have gone on yesterday.
Cheers Bubbs,

like the little D series bubbs , but wonder if you can help with this one . an ilminster company called BURTS. they were fruit & veg people , bland grey with blue signwriting , cant find a pic any where , my auntie used to work for them , but cant remember the drivers names. they had a couple of D series think they shut in the late 70’a early 80’s .cant find any pics of Patten bros F7’s either

Love those ‘token gesture’ roof spoilers!! They look about as much use as a chocolate fireguard

bubbleman:
Hello,lets try now.

Now there’s dedication - putting thenm on on the middle of the night! Thanks v much for another quality selection

The Harding line up looks pretty smart

I wish I could still see Bubbs’s pictures - my PC has decided it doesn’t like anything associated with tinypics

I’ve rebuilt it twice in the last week to try & get rid of this problem. My laptop displays tinypics stuff without a problem, but the PC simply refuses to play. Both using Kaspersky Pure with exactly the same settings - both on Win7 Ultimate 64-bit and both fully updated with exactly the same updates (which was a PITA to check…)

Anyone know something I don’t?
